Why Paint Isn't the Answer

• Black - general demarcation and component identification  

• Black and Yellow (striped) - hazard warnings, flammable or combustible material zones  

Using this system consistently doesn't just look organised — it's what a safety auditor is actually checking for. Random or inconsistent colour use is one of the fastest ways to fail a facility inspection, even when every other safety measure is in place.

• Paint: material cost, plus a painter's day rate, plus roughly 24 hours of downtime on the marked area, plus a full repaint every 6 months as it wears.
